  1.  Such a great way to aerate your lawn! And the perfect storage solution to ‘boot’. Surprisingly high-quality, easy to set up out of the box and acts as an extension of any shoe. The straps are very secure.

  2. The product had to be set up by installing the spikes and tightening the nuts with the tools provided. My daughter was able to get that done. The straps work in securing the contraption to your shoe. Three straps are better than two that some have. Realistically, this is easier to aerate than a caste iron spike aerator. From an effectiveness standpoint, if you can you are better off renting a core aerator from a home improvement store. I use it since it is low cost, does drill the holes (so there is the benefit) and fun (to see my family walking funny with the shoes on) 🙂

  3. finally used these… mostly wanted for area that had become somewhat thatchy… obviously work better in wet or damp soil… I also have a larger tool that you step on and takes out plugs of soil… but that is time consuming and tiring … these allow you to walk around more at your leisure… I only used in small area. I may try them while I am mowing to see how that would work…I would probably give 4.5 stars…. nothing really wrong, just think my larger tool that takes out bigger plugs in the grass really works well, but somewhat of an apples to oranges comparison… if your expectations are smaller holes in the soil for aeration then you should be fine in my opinion. I found the straps to be pretty secure as well..
