Is there a safe setting on a power washer that will clean well and not ruin the vinyl siding? Also under the front porch is a real pine wood ceiling that is varnished. It has lots of black mold on it. Can it be power washed as well? Thanks so much...

  1. I had two hose systems that were leaking in multiple spots, one at my house and one at my garden. Some spots were leaking probably because the hoses and connections were just plain old, but also because of the new, cheaper hose reels I bought to put the hoses on were just not made very well (you get what you pay for). Some of the leaks I could deal with, but the worst part was where the last hose attached to the sprayer nozzle, when I sprayed anything above arm height, like my window planter boxes, a cold stream of water would run down my arm and everywhere beyond my arm! So I disconnected everything — the spigot to the short hose, the short hose to the reel, the reel to the first long hose, then that to the second long hose, and then the hose to the sprayer nozzle — and added one of these to each connection, made sure they were all snug (I had planned to put two of these in a connection if it was still leaking after placing the first one), and voila, no more leaks! Much cheaper and easier than buying new hoses and more expensive hose reels!

  2. The plastic washers just are not as good as the rubber ones. I get hoses or hand sprinklers that include plastic washersand for what ever reason…they always seem to leak… the plants get wet and SO DO I! When I use the rubber washersI have yet to have this problem. It is frustrating looking for rubber washers in the stores they all have the plastic ones.So glad I found this on Amazon…I only needed a few washers and was able to order the 10 count. Thank you for yourprompt service. I have mentioned this to my neighbors who were also looking for rubber washers however, he talked me out ofone of mine until he can order his 😉

  3. Bought a self rewind hose container that has a number of hose connections. The washers that came with both the container and the splitter I purchased for the water line were cheap and warped. When I hooked everything up there was water spraying everywhere (3 connections / 3 leaks). I read reviews with this particular product and figured I would give it a try. Replaced the washers on the 3 connections and put everything back together. Not a single leak. I have to say I expected there to be a trickle somewhere at a minimum, but literally everything is bone dry. I’m impressed and couldn’t be happier. Money well spent.
