Reducing Water Usage in the Growroom

Reducing Water Usage in the Growroom

January 31, 2016 - Dope Magazine

How much water does a cannabis plant need? If listening to the news or some politicians in California, they'll tell you it takes up to six gallons a day, per plant. Multiply that by the number of cannabis plants cultivated in California each year and...

International Coleus Society Cultivar Trials and Registration

International Coleus Society. 2017

This 2016 update covers the full array of named, unnamed, and trademarked clones evaluated by the International Coleus Society in their "real world" containerized trial garden. 1. I was skeptical about purchasing this because there weren’t very many reviews, but it’s insane. 100% success rate, every time so far. This last time, I left some clones in there and kept it going. Some have grown to almost a foot long and are out of control! The seller even gave me a little note with tips on how to make it 100% successful which also helped.I add filtered water to the container, fill all the holes up with empty foam inserts and let that run for 24 hours. Then I’ll place the clones in there. That way the water can aerate for 24 hours before they hit the clones. Don’t know if my strategy helps at all, but I have had amazing success so far.I can safely say this is by far, one of my most satisfying purchases of all time. Super simple to set up, super simple to use and works super great! On another note, I had a buddy who was very sure about his strategy, but when he saw the results this produced, he was “sold.”I hope this review helps. I’m a real person and I truly bought this product as a consumer. I found this thing SO useful, that I decided to leave this extensive comment. That’s got to mean something, right?

  2. Ordered the machine and didn’t really believe the 100% success but after my first batch I’m very happy. 34 out of 36 rooted with just plain water. Added clonex after roots first started appearing for a little boost. Am now on the second batch and trying 2 in each insert (seems very do-able) and starting with clonex right from the beginning.

  3. This product is amazing. No more using jiffy pots or rockwell cubes to make my clones. This product makes anyone a clone king. I first experimented with 3 clones and they all had plenty of roots after 12 days to plant in soil. I then did a full 36, filling up my clone machine. 3/4 were ready to plant in 10 days, the rest were ready in 14 days. 100% success rate. Never got that with jiffy pots or rockwell cubes.Just make sure that the water in the reservoir stays below 80F, and that your water PH is 6.0 – 6.5. Follow those simple steps for easy cloning. You may need to add water to replenish evaporated water, I did have to add some, but very little to keep the water level near the sprayers.Once you place the clones, it’s a waiting game. Just sit and wait for your clones to grow roots with little maintenance, no need to check on them multiple times a day like other methods.Fill the clone king with 6.0 – 6.5PH water (no need for any fertilizer), cut your clones, place in the neoprene holders with 1 1/2 to 2 inches of stem sticking down, plug in, them wait. The Clone King makes cloning so easy even the first timer will get excellent results, I will never clone any other way again.

  4. great product. Very easy to use. I’ve only used it once with a 75% success rate. its super heavy duty and looks like it will last a long time. I’m sure with a little practice it will be running 90 to 100%

  5. Very easy to set up. Everything worked right out of the box.1 week now and my clones have lot’s of roots. Love it!!

  6. The air stone does not generate air like you would expect, and the unit it louder than it needs to be. If you are looking to clone simple plants like tomatos this unit is great. For hardwood clippings and other plants that are not so easy look for another option. The cuttings have to sit directly in the water and this creates some problems with a lot of plants. The clone king is only a few bucks more and offers a better system that mists the plants. There is also more water to assist with keeping the temps down. I returned the unit and now have the clone king 36 plant kit.
